Have We Connected?
When I think back on my life, I often wonder how I connected with people. What keeps us connected? Did we have a lot in common? Was it our love and passion for the same interests? Was I just a number to get someone to 1000 friends on Facebook or LinkedIn? Am I a positive influence in their life? So many questions …

Connect:

We are all connected somehow. We are family, friends, peers, friends of friends, etc. People change though. At times we don’t want to remain plugged in. Are we strong enough to simply “disconnect”? Can we break the chain holding us to people that are weighing us down?

More importantly, how incredible would it be if we could simply take our phone or USB cord and plug it into God? We could download all he has to offer. Everyone has Malware and Virus protection software to keep our systems safe, so why can’t we have this in our real lives too? God is our antivirus software. He brings light to the dark. If we stay connected to him, if we download his word, and follow his instructions… he will keep us safe.

Proverbs 16:20 says, “Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.”

So I ask you, can you disconnect from what is holding you back and weighing you down? When you plug in your phone to charge, can you pause and plug into God so you too can be charged? He has important updates every day we must download. Live and breathe in his words.
